New Paint for the Barn

The barn was built in May 1983 and has never been repainted, so it was time. The wood was so dry that it soaked up the 2 coats of primer & the 2 coats of paint. There was some prep and repair work also so now there are no more loose nails and popping lumber. It is ready for my yearly delivery of hay and for horses to come in when it rains in the winter.
Living in the hills of Sage, So. Calif. on dirt roads w/horses, cats, dogs & other assorted beasties.

Life is a little different up here--
a view that has no end; no DSL, no cable, cell phones kinda function; dirt roads; plenty of space; no actual gardening, just find the plants that survive the conditions; a few good neighbors; wildlife up close; 25 minutes from the closest town--I would not want to live anywhere else.
